BURLINGTON, Vt. Ben&Jerry's has named its newest ice cream flavor after Vermont native and champion snowboarder Hannah Teter.
Hannah Teter's Maple Blondie - maple ice cream with blonde brownie pieces and a maple caramel swirl - marks the first time the ice cream company has named a flavor after an athlete.
The maple is a nod to the charity she created, called Hannah's Gold, and her Vermont upbringing.

U.S. chocolate giant Hershey is considering launching a bid for control of British counterpart Cadbury, The New York Times reported Saturday.
Citing "people briefed on the matter," the Times said Hershey is considering a challenge to Kraft's existing $16.7 hostile takeover bid for the British confectioner.

Nov. 20--For former Officer Michael Brown, the police credo "to serve and protect" includes two free scoops of strawberry cheesecake ice cream.
"We protect you, why can't you hook me up?"
Brown told a Ben & Jerry's ice cream shop employee April 20 after the store closed for the day, according to internal affair's documents released Friday.

Restaurantgoers screaming for Brigham's ice cream at the Northshore and Liberty Tree malls will go away empty-handed.
The two eateries, beloved New England institutions, were closed as of Tuesday, a spokeswoman for both malls, which are owned by Simon Properties, confirmed.
Maryland-based private equity firm Deal Metrics LLC closed the doors to dozens of the novelty food restaurants in recent weeks, including the two North Shore locations.
